CEO/Executive Director Experience

Patty Oh is the founder and Executive Director of Cool OC, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing climate awareness, resilience, and community-driven action across Orange County, with a focus on underserved communities. After a 20-year career in sales, marketing, and brand management—including six years as a sales and brand director for Harley-Davidson licensed products—she transitioned into environmental education and nonprofit leadership, bringing business strategy and community engagement together to drive local impact. A longtime environmental educator and advocate, Patty has worked to advance climate action planning, community choice energy, and equitable access to climate education and resources. In 2022, Patty was tapped to be a program manager for the launch of the Cool Irvine pilot program and later founded Cool OC to expand community-based climate programs across Orange County, prioritizing environmental justice communities and historically underrepresented residents. Under her leadership, Cool OC mentored 158 youth, engaged 1,360 residents through workshops and preparedness programs, and reached more than 3,300 community members in 2025 alone. As one of the few AAPI women leading an environmental nonprofit in the region, Patty is committed to ensuring climate solutions are inclusive, community-centered, and accessible to all.
