Lee Ann began her career as a programmer at IBM. As a Mathematics and Computer Science major with an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, she was keenly aware of women in the computer field and the need for role models. As her career progressed and she became a consultant at IBM, Scient, MetLife and EY, she observed firsthand the lack of gender and racial diversity in technology organizations she served. See Something. Do Something. She leveraged her network to create STEM Advantage in 2012. Honors include EY Better Begins With You Global Winner for Strengthening Our Communities, Certificate of Congressional Recognition for founding STEM Advantage, Los Angeles Times Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Visionary Leader and Orange County Visionary, Orange County Business Journal Women in STEM, Los Angeles Business Journal Nonprofit Executive of the Year (Growing category), and 2024 AARP Purpose Prize Fellow.
