Valor Program

The Valor Program is a Human Works Foundation initiative created to support veterans as they navigate transition, rebuild stability, and move forward. We connect veterans with practical resources and supportive relationships that can help them address immediate needs, strengthen their stability, and work toward their goals. Support may include resource navigation, peer and support connections, housing assistance, employment and career guidance, and connections to veteran-serving organizations. At its core, the Valor Program is about making sure veterans know where to turn, have access to support, and have a pathway forward.

Budget
$30,000
Outcomes

Human Works Foundation brings the Valor Program directly into the Housing Unit for Military Veterans (HUMV) at Theo Lacy Facility, connecting incarcerated veterans with the guidance, resources, and support they need to prepare for successful reentry.

By addressing barriers before release, we help veterans build a stronger foundation for life beyond incarceration, with a focus on stability, access to services, and a path toward meaningful opportunities.

Because successful reentry starts before release—and every veteran deserves the opportunity to move forward.
