High School Choral Partnership
This initiative bridges the gap between education and professional choral performance. By partnering with local institutions like Laguna Hills High School, LBCS provides students with high-caliber instruction under Artistic Director Dr. Ryan Brown, Director of Choral Activities at Chapman University. The program includes "side-by-side" rehearsal sessions, a joint annual community concert, and musicianship workshops. The program also features a conducting opportunity where select students receive one-on-one mentorship in choral leadership and podium technique.
Skill Acquisition: All participating students demonstrate increased proffeciency in sight-reading and choral vocal technique.
Mentorship Success: Completion of at least two one-on-one conducting sessions for selected high school students, culminating in live conducting experience on stage.
Intergenerational Engagement: Successful integration of 50+ youth voices into the LBCS roster for one major concert annually, increasing students' confidence and professional exposure.
Community Engagement in Classical Performance
As the premier classical vocal chamber ensemble in the area, LBCS presents high-caliber performances that both honor and evolve the classical choral tradition. We utilize data-driven outreach and modern digital strategies to ensure classical music remains a vibrant, accessible, and relevant part of the regional cultural identity. Our performances serve as a hub for 40+ local musicians and a growing base of patrons, using innovative marketing to introduce new residents to choral music.
Sustainable Growth: Achieved a 300% surge in new patron acquisition and a 91% increase in ticket revenue over the 2025-2026 season.
Demographic Modernization: Successfully reached the "next generation" of listeners, with over 53% of new digital engagement originating from the 25-34 demographic.
High-Impact Outreach: Optimized community visibility through digital strategy that introduced the organization to thousands of new Orange County residents.
