OUR STORY

Homeless Intervention Towards a Pathway Home! OFT walks alongside our neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness, connecting them to agencies with the goal of ending their cycle of homelessness, ensuring their journey back to RESTORATION.

Mission Statement

Our Mission
At Our Father's Table, we believe changing a life takes more than a referral. It takes someone willing to show up — as a mentor, advocate, and friend — loving you enough to tell you the hard truth. We show up with active love — the kind that encourages, challenges, and never gives up. It's the active love that drives everything we do, carrying our neighbors from the streets to their destination: restoration.

Background Statement

At Our Father's Table, we believe every person deserves a chance at a better life — no matter their past, their struggles, or the road that brought them here. Addiction, mental illness, disability — these aren't reasons to give up on someone. They're reasons to show up for them.

That's why we created Project: Restoration, our chronic homeless intervention program. Because homelessness isn't the problem — it's the sign of something deeper. We go to the root, walking alongside each person to break the cycle and restore what's been lost, one life at a time.

Impact Statement

Proof That Change Is Possible
Since our founding, Project: Restoration has lifted hundreds out of chronic homelessness — with proven, measurable results that speak for themselves. One person at a time, we're proving the cycle can end.

Hundreds of men, women, and children are now stable, clean, and sober in a place called home. Our alumni work, pay taxes, rent apartments, own homes, graduate college, get married, and raise families. They volunteer, mentor others still finding their way, and live fulfilled lives — spiritually, physically, and emotionally. They don't just rejoin their communities. They enrich them.

Our goal has always been simple: equip each person with the life skills, resilience, and self-sufficiency they need to become a contributing member of society — and never return to the streets.

But the need has never been greater. In Orange County, chronic homelessness has grown 966% since 2007 — and it shows no signs of slowing. In the 2024 Point-in-Time count, more than half of all homeless individuals were identified as chronically homeless and unsheltered.

The system meant to help them is complicated, fragmented, and overwhelming. No single agency can meet every need — and too many people fall through the cracks because of it. That's the gap Project: Restoration was built to fill.

Needs Statement

How You Can Help
The work is working — but the need is growing faster than we can meet it alone. Chronic homelessness in Orange County continues to rise, and there are still hundreds of men, women, and children waiting for the chance that Project: Restoration provides.

Our greatest need is your continued financial support. With it, we can expand our presence throughout South Orange County, reach more of our brothers and sisters trapped in the cycle, and give more lives the restoration they deserve.
Every dollar invested in Project: Restoration is a dollar invested in a person — and in the community we all share.

Statement from the CEO/Executive Director

People often ask what sets Project: Restoration's Care Navigators apart. My answer is always the same: everything.
Our work is often mislabeled as "street outreach" — but let me be clear, it is not. We take a holistic approach, focusing on the whole individual with the full attention every person deserves. Using evidence-based practices, we work methodically and deliberately, without the constraints of a 9 to 5 schedule — because real life doesn't happen between 9 and 5.

We also understand something that sets us apart: not everyone wants to be saved. We have the wisdom to recognize who is ready for change and who is not, and we direct our energy accordingly. We don't enable. We don't triage. We don't perpetuate a life on the streets by simply making it more bearable. We focus on the people who are ready — and we go all in for them.

Because we are not satisfied with bringing hope alone. Hope is a start, but real change is the destination. We don't put a Band-Aid on a wound — we heal it. We don't help people survive chronic homelessness — we end it.

Why bring hope when you can bring real change?
